Bay Area chef, Malina Syvoravong, is joining us for a Laotion noodle workshop. This class will focus on how to make traditional hand cut tapioca and rice flour based noodles (read: gluten free) from scratch. From stirring up the flours, to properly kneading the dough, to boiling the pillowy noodles off properly.  At the end of class, attendees will get to sample a steaming bowl of traditional Lao chicken soup called Kao Piak Sen. Malina will teach you how to pull this soup together with an assemblage of garnishments that work best.

Malina Syvoravong is a crafty lil lady that hails from Humboldt County, currently lives in Oakland, but has previously dabbled in making Santa Rosa her home. She focuses on recipe developing and testing, food and photo styling, and working on any photo-based creative projects for editorials, advertising or e-commerce. She's currently back on track to educate on and feed folks more Laotian food - and we couldn't be more thrilled about that last part!
