Miracle Plum is pleased to announce the exhibition "Éditions Michel Obultra: The First Year”. Since its inception in 2018 by the artist Aaron Gemmill, Éditions Michel Obultra has produced editioned works in collaboration with a number of artists and musicians, including Caitlin Cherry, Beate Engl, Rochelle Feinstein, Maryam Jari, Khalil Rabah, Kameelah Janaan Rasheed and Stephanie Weber. The press is based in Philadelphia but stages events in a number of different cities as part of its itinerant exhibition and publishing program.
This exhibition presents the complete works from Éditions Michel Obultra's inaugural year of production.
Aaron Gemmill is an artist and publisher based in Philadelphia, PA; holds an MFA from the Milton Avery Graduate School of Arts, Bard College. Gemmill has exhibited at P!, Bulletin, and Practice in New York; Blanton Museum of Art in Austin TX; Galerie Christine Mayer in Munich; and elsewhere. Gemmill is proprietor of Éditions Michel Obultra, guest editor of “The Daily Gentrifier FLYOVER FLYER,” and caretaker of a community garden plot in the Awbury Arboretum.
