Join us in welcoming Maynard Hale Lyndon (and wonderful wife Lu) to Miracle Plum for a special viewing of what he calls Looking Boxes—a concept he devised about 15 years ago. Using only his own photographs, Maynard juxtaposes cut-outs of his photos into 3-dimensional boxes (in several sizes). Maynard says “I visualize a combination of images in my head and then put together snippets of my photographs into relationships— the images deriving from viewing and photographing architecture, design, art, and details, to create my Looking Boxes.”

To date, Maynard has made over 750 individual Boxes; each is one-of-a-kind and we are thrilled to share his work with you all.

Maynard has an extensive art, design and retail background. He draws and paints and constructs—AND designs products and architectural interiors and sometimes teaches and lectures, and enjoys what he refers to as “Playful Ways of Seeing”.
